Over de auteur...

W. H. Th. Perizonius

Willy Perizonius (1912) comes from a long line of academics (1586). He was playing the cello when he was five and later developed a wide interest in and love for music, dance and art. He studied law and the language and literature of the former Dutch East Indies at the University of Leiden. His inborn gift for healing inspired him to seek the essence and truth of 'life'. From his 17th birthday he followed several spiritual paths, he met Krishnamurti and studied the works of the Swedish natural philosopher Emmanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772) who in the second half of his life was in direct communication with the inner world. His meetings with the spiritual healer, Harry Edwards, the aura reader, Ronald Beesley, the Indian teacher, Lalbhai Patel, and later with the Mother of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in India helped him further develop his consciousness and make a synthesis of Eastern and Western philosophy. He also studied the scientific development of consciousness with Professor Bart Landheer (Club of Rome) and was founder of 'Psychisch Welzijn' ('Spiritual Well-being').
In addition to his financial and legal advice practice he worked as a healer and holistic therapist and conducted groups in The Hague on consciousness and the art of living. His view of life found its own form in the residential and working community, New Life Focus, in Kalmthout, Belgium (1979). After almost 40 years he would like to share with a wider audience his vision and experience through the medium of this book.
